She follows & practices the Cognitive-behavioral paradigm of Psychology. Ameeta’s second passion is to write Urdu Poetry. Her poetry reflects a spread of all the concerns mentioned above, albeit in a different language and style. In 2019, she started speaking on public platforms against whats called ‘Khawateen Ka Mushaira’ (Women’s Mushaira), in favor of combined Mushaira with men & women sharing the same platform, on grounds of good poetry only. Her Shayiri is published in a book entitled ‘Ishq Lamhe’ by Vani Prakashan Group. At present she is working on a book which compiles powerful contributions by women poets in the last 150 years.
