Shoshana Melech-Shalom has a vast education background in nursing, she has done her post MN degree from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel. The subject of her MN thesis was: “IDF Fallen Soldiers: Substance Abuse among their Children. She has completed her masters in nursing in 2013 from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel. In 1984, she completed her BA in History and Archaeology of the Ancient Near East from University of Toronto, Canada. She has also done many professional courses for Community and Rural nurses including Identification and care of victims of violence amongst women and children in the community setting, Child development and health care courses. She started her career in 1988 as ICCU (Intensive Cardiac Care Unit) in Assaf Harofe Medical Center, Tzrifin Israel (full time and later dropped to part time). At present she is working as nurse manager and practitioner for population ageing from new-born infants to the elderly in Mishmar Hanegev Kibbutz Clinic (Clalit Health Services employee). She has also worked as rural nurse, Baby nurse and Parental care nurse.
