Dr. Puneet Setia

Dr. Puneet Setia is working as Additional Professor in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at AIIMS Jodhpur. He has done his graduation and post-graduation in Forensic Medicine from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He has done his Senior Residency from AIIMS Delhi and PGIMER Chandigarh. His research interests include determining time since death and forensic psychiatry. He has keen interest in medical negligence cases and has worked diligently on these cases, following the various court judgements closely and using those as teaching tools in the classes. As Head of the Department, he has developed a state-of-the-art mortuary at AIIMS Jodhpur. He has also developed clinical forensic medicine in his department, including some innovative methods for improving the forensic medicine work. He has published more than 75 research articles, book reviews, chapters in the books etc.
