Dr. Kapil Kumar

Dr. Kapil Kumar is currently working as an Associate Professor and Coordinator at the Department of Biochemistry and Forensic Science, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. He has completed his Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Forensic Science. He was a pioneer member in establishing the Department of Forensic Science at Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in 2006. He was an organizing secretary for the 24th All India Forensic Science Conference (2018) jointly organized by DFS, Ministry of Home Affairs, RSU, and Gujarat University. He served as a resource person at many RUSA-sponsored Faculty Development Programmes, Short Term Courses, and Refresher courses in various universities covering topics on several branches of Forensic Science and Nanotechnology. He is a lifetime member of Gujarat Science Academy and a member of the Board of Studies of Forensic Science at Parul University, Vadodara. He is also a member of the Board of Studies at Biotechnology, Biochemistry and Forensic Science at YCIS, Satara. He has numerous publications under his name in various National and International journals. He has also provided Consultancy activities in financial fraud investigation with various Banks and Police organizations.
